Servicing Intervals
"Time is more important than distance!"
The reason that service intervals are both distance and time based is because although you may not have clocked up the kilometres required for your next service interval, the amount of time gone by may mean that items such as oil and filters are nearing the end of their performance life.
If you allow too much time to lapse in between your services, sludgy oil will reduce the performance of your vehicle's engine. That is why it is so important to at least have your oil and filter changed regularly.
If you would like more information on your vehicle's servicing requirements, one of our Service Advisors would be more than happy to discuss your typical driving conditions and provide you with friendly and professional advice on caring for your Toyota vehicle.
Normal driving conditions are applicable if you mostly drive your Toyota on sealed roads in moderate conditions.
If your Toyota is regularly enduring any of the following conditions, you will require additional servicing:
- Driving on rough, muddy or snow-melted roads
- Driving on dusty roads
- Towing trailers, caravans or boats
- Repeated short trips (less than 8km) in freezing conditions
- Extensive idling and/or low speed driving for long distances such as taxis, couriers, etc
- Continuous high speed driving (80% or more at maximum vehicle speed) for over 2 hours
